There are a few key gaming modes on the Chess3 platform including:
Quick Play
Custom Play
Wager Play
In short;
Quick Play allows users to jump into a quick game within a random queue and get matched up with someone relatively close to their skill level. Our skill based matchmaking is actively under development (and will be for the foreseeable future) so expect your experience to continue to improve. Custom Play allows uses to create a private game room and invite someone to play against. This is especially good for those who want to verse a friend as well as when they want to control who they wager against. (Wagering is still actively in development with mainnet wagering expected to release late Q2/early Q3 of 2024).
Wager Play allows users to wager against each other in a high stakes match of Chess. This is all handled on-chain and is therefore trustless and dispute proof. All wager game data is added on-chain, is immutable and is accessible by those participating in wager matches.
We're going to phase out our wagering release to ensure proper testing and a robust framework before we're live on mainnet. Here are the phases:
Phase 1; off-chain and centralised (no risk of loss of funds)
Phase 2; on-chain testnet (no risk of loss of funds but we can test our smart contracts)
Phase3; on-chain mainnet (full bull baby, to the moon!)
Full timeline is yet to be announced We plan to disrupt the entire web3 gaming market with our platform and will endeavour to continue innovating beyond these initial ideas. Expect big things.
