Chess3 COINs

These in-game only coins will behave very similarly to currencies you're probably already familiar with (think vbucks or apex coins). You'll use them to purchase skins, wager, reduce fees, etc. They'll be the way you engage in in-game commerce.

Outside of our MVP Launch Tournament, these tokens will not be available for users to earn. They will be purchasable via Chess3 itself and eventually (maybe, we still haven't confirmed) as an actual on-chain currency. The concept is solid but will only be implemented after thorough economic stress testing and obtaining crucial feedback from the community.

In-Game Utility

COINs will be able to be used in the following ways:

• The purchasing of skins and cosmetics (boards, piece sets, pfps, etc)

• Wagering against other players at lowered fees

• Spectating on the outcome of matches (when we eventually release them)

• Tournament buy-ins

There'll be plenty of other things the COINs can do too. As the platform evolves and Chess3 transcends, we'll aim to continue seeking out new ways to improve on our economy.
